Some of my pullets have started laying. So far I have two from my olive layers and two from a line of Marans I bought in as eggs. AND one of my oldest hens laid the other two eggs. I'm about to candle the giant one to see if there is an egg within an egg or just a double yolka!

So for those wondering, Wilma is out of surgery.. She did amazingly well under anesthetic and is at home recovering well and eating like a piglet! She had the whole comb removed and 2 stitches put in! Should be back to normal in a few days

Yeh way to expensive! I felt bad I couldn't pay for it! But my friend the she did it for $285 because of the price of anesetic.. And lucking I can pay it off over a few weeks!

Oh wow they removed the whole comb.
No wonder you couldn't do it yourself and there had to be stitches. With dubbing you leave a little bit so in the end it looks more like pea comb.
