Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Mash is what we fed chooks on in the old old days before pellets were invented.
It was mixed with hot water and kitchen scraps.
It had  a porridge like consistency.

If you don't feed pellets, you will need to give your chooks shell grit for the calcium.

Well that would explain why they don't like it dry lol. I've never had much luck with them with scraps either. Suspect I left it too long to introduce them and they'd got set in their ways.

Could be appps mine loved the mash dry if I wet it they wouldn't eat it lol. I think each lot have their own preferences some love mash, some pellets and some will eat just about anything lol.

My phone has an annoying habit of looking like it hasn't posted so I get doubles at times too.

Satay - will be interesting. I think I paid $26 for a 20kg bag of mash last time. So that sounds like a good saving!

. $26!!!

I pay $17 for a 20kg bag of fine mash. It's an all flock feed. For 30 poultry it feeds for 2 weeks. Lasts so much longer than pellets or even just mash.

Hmm maybe I should make the extra 5 minute drive to the other feed store in town and check their prices!
I tend to this one because its close but the staff always make you feel dumb if you ask a question. Thought it was just me they talk down to but then heard them speaking to another customer the same way so they must do it to everyone. If their prices are that much higher it might be the push I needed to change stores.

I too have two stores. They are both very nice and helpful and their prices are the same. So I go to both.
How do they talk down to you? Is it like they they treat your Question as though any one would know that, kind of stuff? That is so rude, I hate people like that.

Yeah he has this look on his face makes you feel like he is laughing at you or about to roll his eyes any moment.
The other customers I heard were asking about shampoos because their dog had sensitive skin. I felt he thought they were idiots for not just using human shampoo.
He has no idea on the rules of customer service
