Boys are headed right, girls headed left

And here are the baby Plymouths:

Only one has a bit of a tail growing, but the combs are all the same.

What is their age?
But to me you have got 2 very handsome roosters there.
Do you plan on keeping them?

Today I watched my Ancona pullet lay here very 1st egg and what a site it was to behold. I have seen many chickens lay many eggs, even from the business end

but this one was by far the best, funniest, quirkiest.

:sick :lau Lol.

I'll keep 1 boy, the most handsome.

At the moment I think in the second photo the chick in front is the prettiest.
I would keep the more friendly one.lol.

They're beautiful :) Plymouth rocks make the most handsome youngins :)
Don't girls start developing tails first?

It is said that in the first week if a chick has a tail then it is a pullet, if you miss this then you can't tell as the boys tails catch up. I think this only happens in some breeds though.

Pink how are those chicks going?
How many now?

I gave my poor Barred Rock a bath today to unmucky her bum. It actually went rather well, once plunked into warm water she seemed totally out of ideas on what to do and so stood there meekly while being washed, rinsed and blow dried.

She has either forgiven or forgotten now and is happy to scoff treats from me again. It's good to see her posterior fluffy once more. her vent seems healthy and her droppings are in good form so with luck she won't get too mucky agin.

Tell me what you think :D Boys are headed right, girls headed left My lady gobbler is on the right while one of my boys is on the left. And here are the baby Plymouths: Only one has a bit of a tail growing, but the combs are all the same. And here are some random fancy quails: They've had a light bulb in their cage since last Sunday (to encourage laying, all quails are in their first year so it shouldn't be an issue) yesterday I got 4 eggs and today I got 7. Lovely creatures.
Both of your Barred Ricks are roos.

Nice one Luke :)

The Chicks are going ok. A couple latecomers have some leg issues but should be fine. The Yoko are in now but I don't have high hopes for them *shakes fist at australia post*
