That's usually when it rains here Sandeec when I am half way through mowing and then you have to wait a few days to mow and you are back to starting all over again lol. Mind you I don't think I have had to mow at all since about May.

Oh wow, I have mowed twice in the past week That sun out there this morning has already got massive bite to it, still no clouds though.
I feel like that, might as well keep the mower running, turn around and start all over again lol

Lol, when we moved to Tassie , our Sydney friends took the rinse out of us, saying " are you going to Tassie to watch the grass grow "? They weren't far wrong, I mow 2 acres of garden and the animals do the rest . When we were " townies " we used to look for weekend projects to keep us busy. Now , we'd kill for a weekend at home.

I can understand that one I'd love a weekend away. Even when I do go away, friends or family get me to do renovations for them lol

Ha, don't start me on renos. We've been restoring this place for 14 years. When we bought this farmhouse it was derelict . The cows were in the living room. I kid you not! The staircase had been stolen along with all the huon pine doors. Our girls were 2 and 3 , and if we could have put them in a box and come back to them later, we would have finished it years ago. But alas life gets in the way , then came the horses. When we are not competing we are volunteering to paint jump poles , clear cross country courses, pencil for the judge ,oh I need a rest. That's what my chickens are for. They are my R&R, my time to " stop and smell the rose's ".

lol when we bought our house i kid you not you could not see it for the grass and weeds.(we have a low set house on the side of a hill) The previous people who lived here where tenants and had not mowed it in 6 years. We didn't even know we had no front fence til i mowed that far. I had no ride on at the time so i had to push mow the whole 6 acres. The neighbours used to sit on their verandah and laugh at me lol. I have since got a very good ride on.

Anything to keep the neighbor s entertained! I'm on my 3rd ride on, killed the others.

My "neighbours" must get a laugh from me then I do all mine with a push mower Wish they'd shout me a beer at least when I am finished lol
