Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Yep, so very cool! He is right, it is absolutely incredible!

Gotta love the big bobble eyed ET impersonation; the chick that is, not the presenters

I usually candle eggs under broodies at day 7 and day 14 to check for development, but these Marans eggs are too dark for me to be able to candle. I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping for the best

@youngchooklover - gorgeous chicks!

@Teila , I hope you find the right chook for you.

@K Spot - beautiful clip!

Snowy laid an egg in the nest box today for the first time since she went broody.

I can't actually eat it because she still has access to the medicated chick starter, but I'm glad that she is back in peak condition. It's taken ages, but in the last week her comb has rehydrated back to it's normal size and gone red. She is still sleeping with and looking after her babies so I think she just loves being a mum.

So, definitely not just yet, still giving the gals and myself time to settle after all we have been through the last couple of months but just putting it out there for storing in the memory banks ;)

I have always had a yearning for a Blue Bantam Cochin (Pekin) girl and have not been able to get one from any of my hatches, sadly Tammy (who was just right) turned out to be Tommy.

So, having sworn of hatches for an extended period of time and now having all this extra room, I wonder if you could all keep me in mind if you hatch, hear of or see a Blue Pekin Pullet in the Brisbane area that might just fit the bill?

Thank you :)

I don't have blue pekins, but I will let you know if I see any for sale. :)
