I actually started a new thread in the Breed/Gender Forum .. 30 people have looked and no-one has come back with a suggestion on colour; I will just have to advertise them as "Pretty Boys"
. Under a sheet of wood, in about a metre and a half long grass, out behind the BIG BIG shed I found her 13 stashed eggs..! So theyve been stuck inside for the last 2 days. Was going to let them out this arvo but decided to punish Rodney as he wounded my ego..

@tandykins, horrible to hear but u definitely done the right thing, so im glad u got that feeling of relief afterwards.
WELL! Hope everyone had a great easter! We all got a nasty bout of gastro :-( Sunday morning the chooks seen easter bunny hiding the eggs so they joined us on our easter egg hunt haha it was pretty funny! Trying to peck at the fake pretty eggs that we stuck in the ground as markers.
Finally ended up seeing Scarlett sneak off a few days ago (had my suspicions she wasnt molting at all, she was just laying elsewhere) and was able to follow her like the brilliant chook detective i am
So Rodney has decided he wants to take me on quite often of late.. i suppose he keeps going cos lately i just stand my ground rather than show him whos boss. So we do that each day. Anyway today i decided hes getting too cocky (hahaha) so decided it was time i dominated him again. Normally ill grab him and walk around holding him until he decides hes humiliated enough not to try again.
So here i was ATTEMPTING to do that again today... It seems he has grown a lot more than I thought and is faster than me now :-( so i looked like a bloody idiot having a lunge-dodge match with him where we each kind of took it in turns to try and catch each other and failed.. ended up where it kind of stalemated and i took the feeders and replaced water and feed and when i brought them back he backed away as if i had won..
But i didnt! Im feeling rather sorry for myself at the moment as i couldnt actually defeat my darling Rodney.. give him anymore growing time and he may very well beat me if i dont hurry up and start beating him again! Today display while frustrating was kind of funny at the same time as not at all.
I have 2 girls laying each day again now though!
