It was just on 35c here just before 12pm today. Now thats more my kind of weather.

Its mid 20's today and the girls and I have been gardening, with the grand daughters. The girls(chooks) were eating slugs much to Mia and Pipers disgust.
So hard to stay in a sunny day.
I have rehomed 5 mixed breed chickens. Only 50 or so to go.
A question for those who may be in the know. I have some golden phoenix to sell I was told they are rare and worth $100 does that sound right. I'm also selling a splash Andalusian and Blue Andalusian and I'm not sure what they are worth. Need to recoup some of the hundreds they have cost so far.

I'm from Perth WA and trying to find some organisations or persons that deal with rescued battery hens... Anyone know of someone I could contact? My current loner hen needs a friend.

I have a few hens to rehome they are not ex battery though. If you want ex battery I can make a call and see if anyone does rescue.

Beautiful birds excuse my ignorance but what are they. They look like australorps but to my untrained eye a breed look similar.

Hey, thanks for getting back to me so quick! They don't have to be ex-battery necessarily. Especially if they need a new home.
I can only have a few, however. How many need re-homing?

another note, I think my bantam Langshan is broody or about to be.

She was in the nest box for ages today. I didn't think much of it because I saw her out eating this afternoon.

However tonight she is back sleeping in the nest box whereas usually she roosts

That price sounds about right if they are of good quality.

They are blue Orpington. Beautiful big and gentle birds.
