yeah I think I better hold it off till a couple of years later.. .though I'm dying to get my hands on more now!!!!

These are 2 of the babies that I gave one of my friends (same batch as snowball who I miss so very much) and some of chickaletta and my other babies lol

Oh @Poultry mum! Brains has gone broody a couple days back. She disappeared at around 4pm 2 days ago and when I went to pick the boys up after dark to bring back into the house, I checked for eggs and she was in the nesting box!!

She went back in at around the same time the following day and didn't come out till this morning.. but she missed her favourite morning treats! ... scratchies, raspberries, and wine grapes! I quickly took the eggs while she was out this morning. She hung around for about 30 mins and had a bit to eat... then she went back in again!! so she's sitting on no eggs!!

Well I went to check on them about an hour ago and she's out! she must have figured there's nothing to incubate anyway!

I just really don’t know if any are fertile this time.. haven’t really been paying attention lol… and I’m not incubating any atm… I’ve got Patricia sitting on a few but she pecks like no tomorrow.. so I can’t check.. and abbey and gang are still sitting on something.. lol I just don’t know what coz a broody muscovy isn’t something I want to mess with!!!

And yes the last photo is a silkie x I just don’t know what side of her is the silkie and what she’s crossed with!!! I really need to learn separate my boys from the girls I think…

I’m starting to work out that not silkie crosses have 5 toes bumblebee (BB) the girl in that last photo she’s the silkie cross but she only has 4 toes… it’s a throw back to the other parent or something where as marshmallow has 5 toes on foot 4 toes on the other but 2 toe nails on one toe… lol work that one out..
