Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Hey guys! :frow
:welcome to the new Aussie members. There's been a lot of you joining lately, which is pretty cool. I remember back in the day, nobody replied when I asked if there was anyone else in Australia.

Hi Fierlin,

Just noticed you were on line. Thank you for the welcome. Where in OZ are you from? The picture looks like the outback (Mt Isa?). I live in Brisbane on the Peninsula in Redcliffe. What type of chickens do you keep?

Just wanted to let you know that I'm here and to say G'day.

Cheers
Chrissy

Hi Chrissy :frow
I actually live in Adelaide - I've only been to the outback a couple of times. That avatar's a picture of a mine. I'm going to change it back to normal soon, I just put the pic up for a day because the stock was doing well.

I've got sex link chickens, three of them (there used to be four, but one died mid-last year :()
Good to see an Aussie online, it's been a bit quiet here recently. :p

(Sorry, I'm a bit like BYC's resident geek, I'll shut up about the stocks and stuff if you want me to.)

) then drove up to Kyneton to buy some ducklings. I have a house full...but these are fawn and white. I hatched some for a friend a few months ago and fell in love with them. I got home after 9pm... Started cleaning brooders and bathing ducklings- and now here it is midnight and I still havent finished doing " duckie things"
i will have to upload a pic of them tomorrow.. so cute!!

Uh Oh.. another nerd. I'm a finance geek of sorts myself Fierlin

I try to be as little of a nerd as possible... but it is kind of hard when you're a financial adviser.

Got my first lot of eggs in the bator. The 7 duck eggs seem to be developing well and some guinea fowl eggs may even be a chance

Glad to see there are other people around who won't look at me blankly when I start on about investing. :lau
I tried to drill a little into my friend, but gave up when she asked me if Fortescue Metals was an oil company.

I hope everyone is well! I can't stay long because I've got a train to catch in about half an hour, just checking up on BYC and emails. :p

I thought it was time to try out how to add a photo here now since everything has changed... The new babies I picked up on Friday night. I love the pied colours.
