Just stuck my nose out the door to see how the girls were doing in the wet ~ & everyone promptly joined me on the verandah! *sigh* They are such nosey~rosies!

It's hard on the chooks but they're champs. The heat compelled the broody out of the nest so I'm not as worried about her as I was this morning. A couple more hours and the worst will be over

Sydney has copped nearly 50 degree heat, we have to make ice cubes for my hens to keep them cool, Aussie summers
This is the worst bit of Summer is when they are so hot that you have to bring birds inside, I just had a chick die on me

Eeek I hadn't realised it was that hot in Sydney - my sister's in Orange and even there it is hugely hot! That is crazy hot! Take care everyone of yourselfs and your chooks!

Very pretty and we get seriously hot long summers here too (even mum was surprised when she came over a couple of years ago - she was here 2 months and we didn't have a day below 30 and regularly well over that!), currently enjoying a nice frosty morning! The heat will be back soon enough - I just love love love the seasons here in Europe. We lived in Hervey Bay for a few years (did my nursing degree there) and it did my head in having no seasons!

lol Seen all the snow I ever care to see. Our seasons are a little subtle but we still get them here. It doesn't need to hit zero for me to want a fire.
