Australorp 5 weeks old, Felix or Felicia?

Ah yes the age old question am I a pullet or a roo? Felicia or Felix? I’m leaning roo but my husband doesn’t want to believe it. No tail feathers yet and the comb is more pronounced than the other babies of the same age who are different breeds.

A little too early, in my opinion. If the comb keeps growing and gets red within the next few weeks, then probably a cockerel.

Yeah, not sure yet. Don't jump the gun. I had a BCM last year that I nearly rehomed at 6 weeks because I was convinced she was a cockerel, but then the comb stopped reddening and she turned into a very nice, if somewhat masculine looking, hen.

I would possibly, maybe, say, pullet. I am probably wrong on this, but my chick who is the same age has the same size of comb- and she's a girl because she's a Sapphire Gem. I am probably, definitely, most likely, wrong... but that's my guess.
