They always grow up and never stay small. Are you letting him father more chicks for you?

Funny, but I let my Blue Australorp rooster breed with a NN/EE cross hen that lays green eggs. I hatched out 3 chicks a couple of weeks ago that do have the NN's, but they took on the coloring of the Australorps that I have. I ended up with 2 blue and 1 black chicks with the naked necks from that cross that I did. Since they don't have combs and the wattles yet, they look like mini ostriches to me.

And yes, I had some hatch 12 days ago. Kinda hard to see their color tho.

This is Kazoo, my blue Australorp roo. He's about 5 months old now. I got him with 2 blue pullets from @BlueBaby last year over labor day weekend. No close ups of the girls but I'll get some and post later, but the light blue girl, Donut, is also in the bottom pic.
