Australorp?

This is my youngest roo Johnny.. does he look like a mix of sorts, Australorp? Jersey Giant? We picked him from a bunch of mixed chicks. He is the same size as my 5 month hens, he’s around 16-17 weeks. Big boy!

I'm not convinced that's a cockerel.....is there presence of pointy male specific plumage?

Definitely looks like a mix. One of the parents was pea-combed, and that's all I know. Beautiful!

Here’s a “somewhat” better photo of neck feathers. They appear pointed to me. It has a very red prominent comb compared to the hen who looks very similar to it and definitely is the boss of the younger chickens. I would love for it to be a pullet!

My girl Gimpys comb and wattles seem reder than your boy Johnny.

Do you have a full body picture from the side? Preferably toward the back of the chicken.

This is from a few weeks ago before I got rid of my cockerels. He was around 14 weeks or so. Most of the pullets aren't even close to being this red yet.

I'd also say a mix of some sort.

I might be seeing pointy saddle feathers, but I'm not 100% sure.

How about you judge for yourself. This is my male silver duckwing OEGB. Most breeds are easily sexed by the saddle feathers.

Here's my female silver duckwing OEGB. Completely different saddle feather shapes.

Does Johnny's saddle feathers look more male or female to you?

That looks like an Easter egger pullet to me. I see muffs on the side of her head.

Australorps have straight combs. That young lady has a pea comb.

What color are her legs? They look blue / grey in the pictures.

What color are her foot bottoms?
definitely a mix, with probably EE in there somewhere. Without knowing what the possible parents are, the list is endless on what she could be mixed with. Anything really, so long as it can have black plumage.
