Australorps breed Thread

MrsB,

If I start driving now, do you think I could get there and back before dinner? LOL.

From Meeker to Magnolia is seven hours one way! Yikes! :)

You could try and be back by lunch tomorrow, maybe!

Maddogdodge,
Good looking bunch there. I like the dark lacing on the blues. It took me and Chet awhile but we finally got the darker blue with the lacing. I am trying to get my splashes to have more black blotches this year. Don't ask me why, I just like the splashes even though we cannot show them.
Kurt
Thanks

I think the Blues are my favourite colours... but I love them all!

The girls are 8 weeks old, it has finally stopped raining and they're finally outside birds permanently! My guest bathroom thanks me dearly hahaha

Comparing against other people's photos, it looks like I lucked out and got all pullets but what do you all think? Their combs pretty much all look the same, one has slightly more red to the sides, on her head more so than the comb. Ill be so thrilled if I don't have to rehome/cull a roo from these gals, they're so very sweet and affectionate. Whenever I go outside, they run right to the door and climb into my lap to snuggle and get pets. Such sweeties!

Hi. If you are still looking for black australorps, I do raise them. I have a show quality roo over very nice hens. Feel free to contact me if you need fertile eggs.
