i know..he offered a word of advise like they are not waddles, they are wattles...and that was just a freindly correction but the person didnt take it that way..he said he would do best to just stay off the www. its too agrivating.. i feel bad but hes still on the book of face...

yes and that person was me and I have apologized and apologized to him and asked or begged him not to leave that I misunderstood him. He said these USA forums wasn't for him or something to that effect. I didn't take it as a correction because of the way he said it. In a private message he sent I apologized over and over to him because I mistook him as making fun. It's hard to tell a persons attitude when it's written down because you can't hear their tone. I to wish he would come back and be with us because I for one could learn from him with all his knowledge. But from what he said I just figured this wasn't the first time something has happened or that he wasn't happy on this forum or something. ??? I feel bad about it and all I can do is apologize and I did that over and over because it was just a misunderstanding. I also begged him to stay and not leave. That's the best I can do and I am sorry to you guys as well because it will effect everyone not just me.

It IS hard to tell tone ...most everyone on BYC is very nice ...but once in a while you run into a hard case ...

It was not here. There was a worse mis understanding that involved a negative cultural reference on a different thread. It happened here https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/732985/csu-chicken-state-university-large-fowl-sop/1690, but the thread starter is a Moderator and he cleans up the thread after each unit so the posts are gone now.

It looks like Ross still goes to the Campine thread. He was there recently and was on BYC two days ago. I hope he comes back here.

not you,,, it happened on another thread,,,not even Australorp but another chicken that he had extensive knowledge of and internet is mostly to blame, so easy to type and hit send.
