The information I got indicates the only way to have that red coloration is if there is another color in either of the birds, rendering them not purebred.Dan, in that case, the White Leghorn would not be purebred.

"Lorp x pure horns= 100% white chicks, many with random little black spots on down. Some may feather out with random black feathers, many will eventually lose them but some will keep until maturity. California Whites are essentially the same genetic pairing as lorp x horn (a black rooster over white leghorn hens that is) so looking at images of CW will give you a real good idea of feather color and pattern."
None the less, that's a fine looking hen and I would certainly be happy to own her! A few red feathers should not affect her laying ability.![]()
