Australorps breed Thread

I can't tell either, I keep staring at my three's combs, thinking 'is that pink?? please tell me it isn't pink?? they said 90% hens, 90%, 90%!' lol!!

At this point I've decided to stop obsessing and wait until they crow or lay!
If it's any consolation, I have a 7 weeks old Buff O. with pink comb that everyone tells me it's no doubt a pullet

Australorp cockerels don't really get pink in the comb. I have had experience with a lot of them that turned out to be cockerels and their combs were never pink at that age.

Pink wattles at that age are a better indicator of gender.

Question... Bought my Black Australorps from Tractor Supply but several of mine have white feathers growing in along with the black. Is this normal and they'll loose them during first molt? The feathers that are white are only afew near the butt and one has white along tips of it's wings. FYI they are about 3 1/2 weeks old.

Yes, that is normal. My australorp is 9 weeks and still has some white feathers on her wings. The white feathers don't fall out, they just turn more black as they get older. That is what is happening to my australorp.:)
