Baaaaaaaabyyyy, I'm hot just like an oven!

Hahahahaha! Try feeling like it's 99* when it's really 70* inside and and repeatedly asking "Is it just me or is it *really* hot in here?"
I lose perspective --- so when it's 99* outside it's not so bad.
Here, it's just summertime in the South! It's always hot and then sometimes it's really hot.

I feel slightly less delirious. I just downed a very large iced green tea lemonade. It was refreshing, as well as delicious. I highly recommend one to you all.

As for you poor souls who have to bear this heat on a regular basis, I commend you all. I'm just a whinin' fool, I am. I know all of you have this heat every year. My hat goes off to you all.

I feel for you raroo. We've been breaking records here in Seattle too. Hottest Nights, Longest Streaks, and All Time Record High. Yesterday it was 103 in Seattle. Inland was up to 110 in places. In the past 118 years Seattle has never been above 100. Right now it's cooled off to about 99, and it's that hot inside too. Almost no one has AC. Have discovered that a bottle of red makes a great sleeping aid. Lol

Imp- longs for a typical Seattle summer of 75-80 and gray.

We broke a record last night for the hottest night, too! It was hotter overnight, than last years average July temp., which was 23. (73 F.) In the fraser valley area it has been pushing 40. (104 F)

Try to remember, this won't last forever, right?

I know it feels like it though. It will get better soon.

I know, I shall try to keep that in mind. *pant pant* It's supposed to break a bit, and get down to the mid 20's after the weekend. I used to think the mid 20's was pretty darn hot. Now, it will be as cool and balmy as a spring day. I await anxiously.

Is Texas a dry, desert-y heat, or does it get humid? I find dry heat so much more tolerable! It just radiates, like a heater, instead of feeling like you're standing in the middle of a giant pot of steamed veggies.

We usually have a dry heat which is actually pretty nice cause' the horses and I can take a dip in the lake to cool off and we're fine the rest of the ride.

Our problem is just when we have a big storm... Then afterwards it's hot and humid for a few days. Such as now.
