Update: turtle is doing great and is a spunky little chick. Pancake on the other hand is not doing so well. I believe her Spraddle leg is now slipped tendon but I am not sure. I tried looking at videos but am not finding anything reall similar. I posted a video and I’m hoping I can get some feed back or advice on what to do. Her leg is twisting backwards and I cannot straighten her leg in the forward position. Any information would be helpful. Thank you.
I'm so sorry to hear about your chick. You said the vet wrapped the other leg, does your vet have any idea what's wrong with the hurt one?I’m still not exactly sure what it is. I tried to extend it back like she/he would naturally stretch and it wouldn’t go straight. It’s stuck in a bent position and twists outward. I put a brace on it and vet wrapped it to the other leg so it won’t twist out and have her comfy in a bowl. I’ve been bringing her food and water which is save-a-chick. She doesn’t really peep like she’s in pain but it seems like it would be really painful. She’s still bending her toes so i think she still has feeling and stuff in it, I could be wrong though. I wish I knew what else to do or how to fix it.
