Baby chick hatched in the pooring rain

I’m still not exactly sure what it is. I tried to extend it back like she/he would naturally stretch and it wouldn’t go straight. It’s stuck in a bent position and twists outward. I put a brace on it and vet wrapped it to the other leg so it won’t twist out and have her comfy in a bowl. I’ve been bringing her food and water which is save-a-chick. She doesn’t really peep like she’s in pain but it seems like it would be really painful. She’s still bending her toes so i think she still has feeling and stuff in it, I could be wrong though. I wish I knew what else to do or how to fix it.

Update: turtle is doing great and is a spunky little chick. Pancake on the other hand is not doing so well. I believe her Spraddle leg is now slipped tendon but I am not sure. I tried looking at videos but am not finding anything reall similar. I posted a video and I’m hoping I can get some feed back or advice on what to do. Her leg is twisting backwards and I cannot straighten her leg in the forward position. Any information would be helpful. Thank you.

I'm so sorry to hear about your chick. You said the vet wrapped the other leg, does your vet have any idea what's wrong with the hurt one?

Since I don't have access to a vet, I would probably euthanize such a chick; but that is also due to my inexperience with such things. I'm glad you're trying to help her and hope you find a way to fix it soon! If you do, please share it here so that we can all learn from it. :hugs

Hey
Just a little update. Pancake is still with us and is the sweetest little thing. She is just as happy as can be even though I’ve had her legs wrapped. It’s gotten a little bit better. I don’t know if it’s because I see it all the time but I definitely know it’s not worse. I did some research thanks to @casportpony on twisted tibia and found a good forum/thread (lol still kinda new at this and not sure what it’s called) @DylansMom and @thndrdancr had success with wrapping the legs together right above the feet with a wedge or cushion in between to make sure it doesn’t rub. So starting today I will wrap her legs that way. I do have a question though. When I change out the wrapping/ cast should I keep it off for awhile? If so how long would you think? DylansMom kept it off during the day and just kept it wrapped at night. I’m just worried if it’s off her leg might get worse or get another or different injury. Anyways just wanted to keep you all posted and I am so thankful for everyone that’s taken time out of their day to help me. I appreciate it more then you know ☺️
