I have one, but not all chicks will use it. Might be a little pricey for you, though. I bought it because I frequently brood chicks, so I use it often enough to be worth the price.

Well I am looking to spend as little as possible but I have another chick hatched and I don't know that I am going to be doing much now any way because they will be outside in another week or two

If they're going to be outside so soon, I would look into the heating pad brooder thing mentioned. But I would also have a heat lamps set up in a corner as an alternative, in case they don't use the heating pad, or if it's not enough for them. They will need heat for at least 6 weeks.

I try to spend as little money as possible, as I have an extremely low income (I would be considered in poverty; only income right now is selling eggs and pasture rent), but sometimes you have to spend the money.
