A bit of warm water might even help loosen that up then. :) oil too, food grade oil is a good choice if you’re concerned about her accidentally ingesting it. If you try, see if you can get the edge of the tape at the end towards her body, put a bit of oil or water on the sticky side, peel a little, and repeat. May have to do individual feathers and go slow, take a break if any of you need it :) a q-tip night come in handy for applying your solution of choice as well.
 
Mine like to sit on top of the heating pads. Even one of those microwaveable rice bags might work to set her on while you go at the tape. If you feel she’s getting chilly, you can always take a break and pop her back in your brooder. I would fold any tape you’ve managed to peel off back onto itself (sticky side to sticky side) so it doesn’t get stuck to her again, before putting her back in the brooder.
 
Good luck! If it’s not working out and she’s comfortable with it on, it might just have to “wear” off. Good news is that masking tape is nowhere near as sticky as some other kinds, so less chance of her sticking to herself! :)
