MyPetChicken informs me that, as far as they know, the delivery issues are only with large farm orders, which they don't do. That said, they stand by their money-back guarantee within 48 hours of delivery. Also, they want people to know they are monitoring the situation and are waiting for more definite information from official sources - which has not really been forthcoming yet.
They also said if anyone feels uncomfortable, they will accept cancellations, but at this point, they don't feel there is an issue.
When they know more they will post it on their website.

Thanks for doing that @jonalisa ! That's where my order is coming from. I'll keep checking the website and blog for any information. I put a few calls out today to local reps but got mostly the secretaries. Delaware is kinda buzzing politically right now...you can kinda guess why.

Sunrise, I'd take some caution. Things in Ohio aren't the same as everywhere else. Personally I won't be shipping or ordering anything for a while.

Only if the Government decides to give the USPS a bail out like they have banks, cruise lines, hotels, car companies, and etc. Otherwise, the USPS only gets money when you use our services; USPS can only borrow from the US Treasury and is maxed out.

I bought $70 worth of Forever stamps last week. There are some really great ones including the Fruits & Vegetables, Great Outdoors, American Gardens and Frogs that I chose.

Other beauties are Maine, Alabama and County & State Fairs. But if you have different tastes than mine, there are so many more to choose from.

Go see what you like. They'll be useful forever and they'll deliver them to your door.

those are some pretty cool looking stamps!! last time i bought some i said i didn't care which ones they gave me and i got some really boring ones, like a tennis player or something(which some people might like but it's not my jam)

I too, have an order set to ship from MPC on Aug 31. I emailed/chatted earlier this week that I was concerned about USPS. I felt much better after speaking with them, and don’t expect any issues.

Incidentally, I did look for alternate shipping options, and found USPS is it for shipping any kind of birds.

I sure hope things hold steady for the next week or so, I’ll be devastated if my chicks are lost in the mail.
