baby duck with lots of problems

I'm glad he didn't get a pic of that. After I got up I had to look around to see if anybody was looking.

I thought it went by the votes I'm sorry Deb. Wow even at this age you learn something new everyday. Sorry about that.

Sorry for my absence for today/yesterday. Found out one of the kennels we use for ducks had black mold growing! Been busy cleaning like crazy to get it all out..I think it was on the hay more than the kennel because dawn soap cleaned most of it up and we bleached the rest but all is good now, their waterer overfilled in the drinking area and spilt all over the floor under the hay so it was a yucky mess that i didn't realize until I went to change the hay out. I like to use hay because it sucks it all down to the bottom (even their poo!) and it last longer, but obviously it hides some pretty nasty stuff as well. Glad I caught it when I did though,

Patty! The Que Sera and fish look wonderful! I would never be able to get something like that so good looking!

Dave hasn't been on any more walks lately since I've been busy, with the duck cages and the horses/cows. But I'm planing one for this weekend maybe..
I was petting one of the mamma cows today and I guess the bull didn't like that, or wanted me to pet him instead, because he kinda charged at me until I gave him a pear. I think he was jealous, but boy did I have a mini heart attack seeing him come at me! It wasn't anything like he does when you're messing with baby cows but he's still a big bull, have to be on alert always, even when he tricks you with his blue eyes.

Hope everyone had a wonderful day and gave all the feathered babies lots of love!

Welcome back Garner we missed you. It sounds like you had a big clean up job. I'm glad you found it when you did and got it taken care of. Anytime you have ducks your going to have water messes.

Your very brave to go in the pen with the bull. Be very careful which I'm sure you are. I've never petted a cow before. I wish I could but I've never been that close to one. I've always lived in the city.

Patty
p.s. Thank you but I'm sure you could do a better job on the pics then what I did. I've got one more pic to do, Josh wants a dragon and then I'm giving up on the embossing.

Glad you found it and cleaned it up!

For future reference, borax kills mold spores even better than bleach, and there are no fumes.

Thanks Amiga for that tip. I'll have to start using that when I need it. I know the bleach fumes will get to you fast.

I didn't know that! Thanks for letting me know, I will definitely remember that for future use. Bleach fumes are nasty.

Cows are great, I love them. They've got such big Brown eyes and the longest eyelashes. When the red Bull (he's the one out there now, we've got three one on accident one with the big heard and one with another heard.) was about a year old and still smallish he thought he could bully us around and charge us. We had to carry around sticks or boards to whack him with when he tried to charge us. It seems cruel or mean but that's what you gotta do..it's kinda like when the two bulls but heads one always 'wins' because it hit harder or whatever, we're showing the bull that we're the 'alpha' or whatever you want to call it. He's better about it now but I try to always be aware of where he is and what he's doing. The other cows are great though, they're such sweethearts. I'll post some pics of my favorites soon!

We're getting rain today throughout Sunday the news says!!! It's been much needed and I can't wait, how's everyone doing today?
