baby duck with lots of problems

As long as they put me away with my ducks, I'll be fine.

Yes. Your ducks would have to be with you for that. Funny web smacking cuddlers they are.

Thanks Patti , Que Sera was precious when she snuggled with me yesterday. The runners look like pencils running around the yard you could add a couple to flock.

Heehee. Pencils running around the yard. I love it.

You go from a pancake, Que Sera to pencils like Rhonda and Uno.

I heard you eeeeee Julie all the way here in Indiana. lol Que Sera loves to pancake. I wish he could have got a pic of her sleeping. There was to much traffic and she kept waking up. Rhonda has to stand between you and the baby so it was hard to get a pic of just Uno.

I am glad because I do it for real and cannot help it. Her pancaking is just so sweet. She puffs out and just flattens down and relaxes. My finch hen pancakes all the time and it sends me into orbit. Birds.

I noticed in all the recent pics that Rhonda was always in front of Uno. I thought it was so sweet. I could tell she was being a momma.

Heeeheee. How dare the silly things do that!! Is the roo's stance an assertive and commanding one?

A hen that crows? Wow. I did not know that. If someone like me who has zero experience or knowledge of chicken birds heard Miss EE hen crow without seeing her, would I think she was a boy?

Ah, I bet the kazoo sound is adorable.

I cannot believe the literally hundreds of different breeds of chicken birds. It is amazing. Are pullets those little chickens that are kinda fluffy and long haired looking?
Pullets- before egg laying hens after

Cockerels before sexual maturity - rooster after I think that is the way of both.

Yes first time I heard Miss EE crow and she is the most vocal of my hens she was doing her usual screaming then all of a sudden I heard this crow and then again dh and I both went outside just knowing someone had dumped a rooster off here since it wasn't our main rooster crow. She has to get worked up with her screaming first then she'll belt out a crow or 2. One of these days I'll try top get a video so ya'll can hear. I asked about oit and was told it isn't un common for older hens she is 3yrs old to do this it's a hormonal thing.

Ah, all this chicken talk is starting to make sense now.

Would LOVE to hear a video of her screaming & then crowing!! I'm still waiting for my goofballs to do their rain cloud making in the pool again so I can get video. Maybe this weekend since temps/heat index will be scorching compared to what we're used to.

This is one of the quail chicks she was in the brooder with, the tux in the middle, it was soooo cute watching the little quail snuggling up with her to sleep. As she got bigger her buddies were younger ducks as they hatched. We originally tried to move her to the big pen in the shed where we put the ducklings as they outgrew the bins but settled for keeping her with one buddy, they aren't in the same pen but can still see each other thru the fence.

Aren't they precious. Are those bob white quail? I've never had one before but I would love to have one. I'm glad miss wobbley has friends that she can be with. She is beauiful. Thank you for sharing these great pics. Keep them coming please.

Clyde really is a sweetie.  So attentive a duck bird he is.

I'd love to read that story Patty, if you can find it.  I bet it is super entertaining.  What are ducks thinking?

Please do ask him when it is convenient.  I wish I know how to and I wish the mobile version of BYC would let me download pics from my phone into the mobile site.  Maybe it does and I just don't know how.

Julie, when you go to the reply box do you see a B, a paperclip, a photo (or a square with what looks to be mountains and a sun maybe?), and the @ sign? Well that square with the design in it that looks maybe like a mountain and sun... That's what you click on to add a picture on the mobile site. Then choose upload from my device, and then choose existing. Then you will be able to pick a picture from your photo library on your phone. Good luck!

Aww that would be so cute seeing a finch pancaking. lol That would be an awful small pancake. So cute.

After Robbie come in from taking the pics of Rhonda and Uno he said I think your going to have to take the pics yourself. Rhonda will not move so I can get a pic of Uno. She is protecting the baby and won't let it get between you and the baby.
