baby duck with lots of problems

You might think I'm crazy but I was out shopping at 6:30 this morning for applesauce. Then I had to wake my husband up to hold Que Sera while I fed Turbo at 7:00. He's a good sport he kept Que Sera entertained while Turbo ate. I tried to fix him a little bib so he wouldn't get so messy while eating. I cut the hole to big for the bib and it kept sliding down his chest. Needless to say I had as much food on me as he had on him. He ate really well and I'm hoping that he puts more weight on.

When I turned the light off last night I thought she would peep a lot but she didn't make a sound. I covered them with a blanket and when I uncovered them this morning they were laying together sleeping. I had a red bulb for them but it was to hot. They were both panting so I had to switch to a regular 100 watt bulb.

I just wonder why Turbo is so quiet. Sometimes when your holding him he will make a little peeping noise that you can barely hear. Que Sera sounds like she is hooked up to her own pa system when Turbo is removed from the cage. Turbo doesn't peep if we take Que Sera out of the cage.

I've got to feed the chickens and ducks hope everyone has a great day I'm still trying to get those pics. It's a sunny day so hopefully we can take some outside.

It's heartening to hear that he's eating better. Sending love his way!

Not sure why Turbo is so quiet UNLESS it means you have a boy there. Is might early to be able to tell though but remember girls quack loud boys barely mumble. Happy to hear he is doing good today.

Thanks my grandson took them. It was to hard to try and get them together so I just had one of Turbo and Que Sera.

Thanks for the suggestions on the food I have some neo-nate hand feeding formula. I think I'll mix this in with the applesauce and chick starter. He likes the applesauce because it's messy and he loves messes..

Thanks my grandson finally took the pics and posted them for me. It's not really a pose I just put them down and hope he can take the pic before they take off.

Turbo ate the neo-nate hand feeding formula. I mixed a little of the applesauce in it because he really seems to like the taste of that. His balance is still not what it was. He is doing alot of the flipping on his back. I'm feeding him every four hours and I let him eat as much as he can. He finally quits when he's full.

Turbo will be 2 weeks old tomorrow. He is about half the size of his brothers and sisters. Que Sera is growing so fast. She is bigger then Turbo now. I sure hope she's not half pekin. She will outgrow the cage in a couple of weeks.
