baby duck with lots of problems

Hope to hear good news this morning that Que Sera had a good night and Patty too. a little sleepy but good.

Que Sera did fine. I checked on her about 3 this morning and she was laying with the flock so I didn't bother her. I do admit it took me forever to get to sleep and then when the alarm went off at 3 I didn't want to get up. Then I over slept this morning not getting up until 9:30. I missed uncovering her cage and the little honks she always gives me. Hopefully she'll let me catch her today so I can at least give her some hugs and cuddles. That might embarrass her in front of the flock I'll have to bring her in to do that. I don't want to destroy her image of being a duck.

I have to feed and water everybody. The flock will be calling the humane society on me if I don't get out there soon.

Opie doesn't seem to mind a bit if I pick him up in front of everyone and smooch his face. He is a bit of a ham.

I can see Opie now cheesing while he gets those hugs and smooches on his face. lol In front of everyone he's not even embarrassed. What a character he is.

I'm glad she did great too of course I was worried about her she is still my baby.

He really doesn't seem to mind at all of course all the rest look at us like I can't believe he lets her do that stuff. Pat his head, hug and kiss on him.

of course she is still your baby what mama wouldn't be worried.
I think it is so cool how she just make to transition so well.

This is off the subject here but I was reading the people with housechickens thread. It was started in 2010 and it was going strong with lots of post and the lady who started the thread was talking about her battle with the township and trying to keep her chickens. Then it all of sudden there were just a few posts here and there but nothing from the woman who was trying to keep her chickens and she was the lady who started the thread. As far as I could tell no one asked about her or anything. I finally went to the end of the thread and asked if anybody had heard from her and how she was doing.

I will always try and keep you all updated on how Que Sera is doing even if my computer breaks down and I have to go to the library. Hubbie has a computer if nothing else I can borrow his.

Good I hope I don't bore you all to death with my rambling. If you all have to come to my door step don't even knock just come on it. You can't miss my house I'm the one with all the ducks and chickens in the yard.

Clyde is about the same. I'm still putting the brewers yeast in his water. I haven't heard from Robbies friend yet to see if her mom asked the avian vet yet. I'm still not sure if she will even do it. I hope she does anyway.

We let Rhonda runner and the baby duck out with the backyard flock. Rhonda is protecting the little one it stays right by her side. I was afraid that Que Sera might think the baby was Turbo. It's not to much smaller then Turbo was when he passed. It doesn't have the crest that Turbo had or the markings that Turbo had. Que Sera is curious but Rhonda won't let her close to the baby. I don't care how much chasing we have to do tonight but I'm going to make sure Rhonda and baby go back in the baby pen tonight. They also have a little house in there that hubbie built when she went broody. My chickens go in the coop every night and we lock them up but I have stubborn ducks that refuse to be housed.
