baby duck with lots of problems

Robbie and I trimmed Nuggets wing for the second time this morning. About a half an hour ago Robbie said Nugget is running down the street again. I don't know what to do with her. Anybody have any other suggestions? Do you think clipping the other wing would help any? I've always heard just clip one side .

I've always heard one side clip too it's keep them off balance didn't help me with Middy either. Do you have a hen apron? thinking that may hinder her from going over. You know the little apron they wear over their hens backs and the hook under each wing to keep the roo from cutting their back up when mating.

I don't have an apron for her. I wish I did. So far she has only gotten out once today. I'm afraid something is going to happen to her when she is lose. I am going to go ahead and clip all the feathers on that one side. If that doesn't work I'll clip the feathers on the other side.

Please give them all love for me & tell Nugget to quit catting around the neighborhood...people will talk.

Thanks Deb, I know Uno is growing. He's bigger then Que Sera now. I will give them your love and of course the neighborhood will talk about my wild chicken running the roads.

They are beautiful Patty love how Que Sera and Uno have pared up. That lil hen Nugget reminds me so much of my lil hen Middy Hopefully if you do the other side it will keep her in but don't be surprised if it doesn't When Middy was still going over the fence when i clipped her one wing i clipped the other and she didn't even act like it phased her. She is starting into molt now so once her feathers come back in I won't even try to keep her inside but I have no neighbor hood only predators. I think I'd rather her be able to fly now.

Love the pics of the ducks and nugget. Funny she's an escape artist, hope she stays out of trouble though.

Sorry for not being active this last week, I got a job! It's at Subway and I'm surprisingly good at it all. I forgot to tell everyone what happened with the broke down car and chick's..i dunno exactly what's wrong with it but the parts and labor to fix it is going to be pricy. So we're putting that off for a while and we'll see on gettimg chick's soon. I haven't even called the stores to check availability in a while, I hope they still have some.

Thanks Patti and you know it wasn't to long ago that Que Sera was babysitting Uno.

Que Sera is almost 4 months old now time seems to be flying by here. Speaking of flying I'm going to trim Nuggets other wing but I think the girl is determined to get over the fence. She may have another set of wings I haven't found yet.

The ducks and the chickens enjoyed their watermelon yesterday. I found them at the produce store for 99 cents. Their really small but their worth the money. Watermelon is Que Sera's favorite food. She didn't do any sharing yesterday when I broke chunks off and threw them to her.
