Awe, I'm so glad Que Sera came in. She's too precious. I'd love to see her happy dance as well!

I can't believe topper was full! That was probably sure a sight

That was a first for Topper. I think we have had her about 3 years now and I have never seen her turn down food before. Like I said she is a pig in a ducks body.

He is so social and obviously there was something in her that he sensed and really liked. I feel it shows his intelligence in that he reciprocates towards people.

Do you think she will come back to visit with Opie? He would love that. I've never seen a duck wag their tail like that. It is so cute the way he does it. I could pick him up and give him a big kiss.

I usually go to her house she cuts my hair.That's how I knew she had chickens and when I told her about my lil roos she got one for her 2 hens[chicken math hasn't gotten hold of her yet.] lol

Ruth got Ernie's once too. lol Yay for Clyde taking hims meds!! Ernie sleeps in of a morning so he hasn't had his yet.

I've been breaking the pill in half then breaking the half into two pieces like you do. He got his medicene again this morning. It's a challenge but he is going after the bread. As long as he is taking it I'm not going to put him in the baby pen.

Ernie probably didn't mind that Ruth got his medicene. Ducks are gentlemen and share with their mates.

They are sweet boys aren't they. My roo is the same way, youngest hasn't learned yet he is still all about himself. lol I found that is the best way to give it once the bread is smooched around the pill they have no idea there is a pill in there.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do with a mean drake that tries to forcefully mate the hens?? Dave is being super mean to Sally lately and trying to do that and I don't want to have to get rid of her, charlie, and henry but if I can't figure something out for them I will have too. Dave is nice and sweet, never doing anything like that to Lady, his mate, but as soon as the other three are around he turns into a mean duck. Sally doesn't want to be part of his flock and sleeps with Henry and Charlie and generally ignores Dave, until I let them out in the morning he attacks her! I just don't know what to do about it, Cause Sally also loves Lady so much that as soon as I put Dave and Lady on one side of the fence and leave the other three she freaks out.

Your talking about ducks when you say hens right? About all you can do is keep them separate as long as the 2 hens[ducks] can see each other that's about all i would know to do other than rehoming and that would be sad. It's a territorial dominance thing.

Yea, I am talking about ducks..and Sally is super noisy if Lady isn't right there next to her. I'd hate to re home them but I can't stand her being hurt like that. I think I'll try putting up a fence in the middle of the duck pen. That way Sally and lady are still close but Dave can't be mean
