Baby Silkie Chickens

Two of my hens have hatched 9 babies. I don’t need all of those chickens !! So I’m thinking about selling the babies but I’m wondering how much I should sell each of them for , they would be un-sexed.

At swap meets I usually see purebred day old silkies around $7, sometimes $10. Adult birds can go for $20 and up.

If they have 5 toes, if their skin is all black, if they are a recognized colour, if they have a proper comb. Basically if they meet the standards.

Show quality or hatchery quality, birds that has been selectively bred to meet the standards for that breed are show quality birds, birds from hatcheries or feed stores or breeders who do not breed their birds to a standard are "hatchery Quality" Show quality birds are worth more. So are your parent birds from a hatchery? If they are then there kids will be hatchery quality birds too.
