Bad storms, MY CHICKEN COOP FLIPPED UPSIDE DOWN!!!!! Happy Ending!!!

Yay Chicks! :

My apologies if this was covered, but did you post your quandry on the Indiana 'Where are you?' thread. Perhaps you'll find more people close by there as well? Good luck. Sounds very difficult.

i posted it there for her................figured it might help some!

My kids were able to find Sprinkle!

She was in shock, but didn't fuss a bit when I took her from my daughter's arms and hugged her and kissed her. Sprinkle tends to be very flighty, but she seemed grateful to be out of the cold and inside where she could eat and drink and be back with her "man", lol. And he was sooo happy to see her! His face just lit up and he started to almost purr. I was able to go out a little while ago and take a good look at the coop (it was just TOO windy yesterday) to assess the damage, and it appears that it is leaning as well as being upside down. Some of the screws in the 2x4's that frame the bottom of the door look like they have to be removed and new ones put in I think, to straighten it back up and make the door shut again. I'm just glad it stayed in one piece after it flipped! We'll have to wait til it's picked back up to see if there is more damage than what I can physically see. I am so thankful to everyone on here that is trying to help us and get out coop picked back up. BYC is truly a wonderful place full of wonderful people and I am humbled just by knowing you all. Thank you so much.

AHHH work is getting in my way. I was able to call a breeder in Otterbein and she is familiar with the area and will try to find someone. she plans to call me back.

I thought I would share some pictures of the coop and the damage to the fencing, and a picture or two of my babies that survived it.

This is a view of the coop straight on. You can see that it's leaning and upside down.

Here you can see it landed on the fence.

From the other side. Fence is ruined.

Here I am with my big boy, Mystery, the roo from this coop.

This is Twinkle, one of the two Ameracauna/Welsummer mixed hens. Her sister Sprinkle was the one missing. Sprinkle looks just like her, except Sprinkle has a straight comb.

This is Omelet. She is still acting very tired and drained, but she was sitting calmly on my kitchen table last night before we moved her to the temporary pen. She's an Amber Sexlink and is such a good girl.

And here they are altogether (before we found Sprinkle) in their temp pen last night. The girls were still scared and stressed out, so they all crammed up under Mystery who happily obliged by sitting on top of them.

Someone just laid an egg a little while ago too, so at least they aren't holding me to blame for the whole coop problem, lol. We appreciate the effort. Time to clean the pen out, they're getting stinky already!

Wish I was there to flip your coop and fix it but you are a little ways from me! Glad there are so many caring people on here and hope something pans out fast! Glad they are all alright!
