I think you did the best thing for you. Alot of people wouldnt even cull the bird because they couldnt handle it, and therein most of these members would be ripping their heads off for it. I think sometimes people get so carried away with their own cause that they completely lose track of what the post was originally supposed to be about in the first place. I have myself pondered the argument that if one cannot carry out a beheading then they are perhaps the cruelest of the cruel. Why am i cruel because i cannot physically feel somethings life dying in my own hands? Isnt it enough that ive put my own selfishness aside to cull the chick? I certainly dont think it is a good way to plead your cause by trying to make OP feel guilty and horrible, they obviously already do about the whole situation.

to each his own. But Im with you. I couldnt snip a chicks head off. I couldnt bash it into the ground. So good for you for finding a humane way for the chick and a way that you could live with yourself.

These thread alway get me......if you want something to make you feel better , yes try some of these crazy ways, you want whats best for the chick with less pain.........take the head off, want make you feel better , but thats best way for the chick.

Death by CO is quite painless, because the body does not have ways to detect high CO levels and realize something is wrong. In addition, hemoglobin has a much higher affinity to CO than it does to O2 (oxygen), so in the presense of high CO levels, the blood levels of O2 become very low.
