I wish! I agree that would be preferable. It's around 20" wide. How wide is the cage? It looks to be around 18"? I wonder if it could be reconfigured into a square shape vs long and narrow.

That looks really, really good!! I think it is wide enough for him to spread his wings and your setup is great. I didn't mention the nest box but I thought about it - good choice. You might want a splash shield around the bath area...just sayin'Thank you so much! We put in a DIY shelf with a "nesting box" and store bought nest on top. We're seeing how that goes. We bought a corner perch, which should arrive tomorrow. Here's the current set-up. We left the cardboard box and plastic "nest" because it is what he was used to. The other end of the flight cage has a water bath, Pal's food and water, and a brick.

For an indoor bird I might even set set the bath pan in the the shower and let him splash all over that.
Thanks for the update.
For a less messy feeder take a 2 liter plastic bottle and cut a hole about 2-3"shield the spray of seeds.
Have you seen these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079VZQ4YY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1For a less messy feeder take a 2 liter plastic bottle and cut a hole about 2-3"
above the bottom that is about 3" in dia. for him to stick his head inside to eat.
You can buy a more expensive version from pigeon supply store online.
Off to work...bbl.Thanks again all! At some point we'd like to revisit pigeon nutrition. What feeds do you use? Do you supplement with greens and other "treats"? How much do you feed? Pal was so skinny when he arrived that we've just had him eating free choice, but should we move to meal times? Is there a good pigeon care book you recommend?
Thanks again in advance!
