Good luck! I will follow along and see how it goesI hatch with my kiddos in April
It is so much fun and the kiddos are so careful of those eggs and bator knowing baby chicks are growing inside them. I always do an activity "What do you think the chick said when it finally hatched out of its egg?" LOL...hilarious to hear the comments because we talk about how long and how much work it is for chicks to hatch out of an egg

That is adorable! My daughter bought a journal today to document her chickens. She's 8. I know you aren't supposed to read the kids journals but she left it out. Her first entry was "Bantam Cochin Eggs bought for $50" and under that in small letters "that's a lot of money mom loves me most today" LOL if she's says I love you more I always come back with I love you most. I'll never forget this!
My girls are so fluffy and heavy that they can barely make it off the ground.a bit of a silly question but how high can Cochin fly? or are they just a flutter type.. i have a trio but i have found they either flutter like crazy or can actually fly? i have them fully penned(covered) but it's been something i have wondered...
Mine does what I call a " hover flutter" and only startled....LOL! She hovers over the ground maybe 4-5 inches and will flutter for 4-5ft max before touching downa bit of a silly question but how high can Cochin fly? or are they just a flutter type.. i have a trio but i have found they either flutter like crazy or can actually fly? i have them fully penned(covered) but it's been something i have wondered...
