Whooooohooo! I just paid for a really well constructed coop. Its going to be a secondary coop for breeding and growout! Now I just need to recover from this bug that hospitalized me so I can get my rooster from Dyann and get started! :celebrate

I hope you get better soon, and congrats on the coop! :hugs
I'm recovering well and the rooster is going bonkers in his crate. We will hopefully have the coop/run set up by this afternoon so he can get some time to roam.

I am new to these birds but my daughter picked bantam cochins as the bird she wants for 4H. So I am ordering eggs to hatch! I hope they are good ones!

These are the poor people I have been harassing!
Congrats on starting this project with your daughter! Bantam Cochins are amazing first-timer birds. They have lovely personality and are easy to handle, plus they're so cute when they come running from across the yard!

This will be fun! I haven't found one bad (real) comment on these birds. Someone listed small eggs as a con somewhere but it's a bantam... I kinda expect small eggs! My daughter is super excited. We have a mixed flock but for her project we are building her her own coop for these little guys.

Yay more coops! This one will make 5! 1 turkey, 1 adult chicken, 1 young chickens, 1 rabbit, and soon the BC coop!

Well the ebay eggs I thought were going to be awesome probably aren't going to happen. They sold them as an auction and said they could get them to me by the 25th but they messaged me saying that might not work.

no bantam cochins I don't know what to tell my daughter.

They said that there are orders in front of me and some went broody. My big issue is it was an auction. I asked if they could do an Oct 25th delivery date. They said no problem and the auction ended the 19th and they are appearantly still trying to fill autions from the week before. I stopped looking for eggs for this hatch because I thought I had it covered between these and my eggs. I would put it off till I could get the eggs but I'm hatching in a preschool and I don't think the 3-5 year olds will understand!
