Jumping in here to introduce my wee ones. Hatched on 3/1. So proud of my roo, Billy. He's just the sweetest little guy, so long as I give him enough attention. LOL!! My little black lady doesn't have a name yet. She's a little more shy so not as easy to get pics of. Billy has been my "hey look at me I'm in your face" little buddy from day one. And he's oh so photogenic, if you can't tell by how many pics I have of him. HAHA!!

The last two pics are from way back during the first week I had him. He was a show off back then too.

Just jumping in here and introducing my 9 calico cochins. They are are 4 weeks old today and I'm pretty sure I have 4 Roos, 4 hens and 1 that seems to still be undecided.
These are my first non hatchery birds and my first cochins and I'm loving them SO MUCH! I can't get over their colors and sweet personalities.

They're gorgeous! Calico is such a unique and pretty color!

Thank you!!! I adore my Cochins. Billy is quite a butt head if I don't pay him enough attention. But then when he gets on my lap he's just the sweetest little wriggly thing ever. He gets so excited he can't sit still. LOL!

Is my little black hen calico? I've been wondering what type of coloring she has. Most of her feathers that are outlined in brown or red are on her breast area, but it's also on her back just not as vibrantly. I was actually going to start asking about that.

Have no idea on this black one. It's like the one above but no white. I know the one in back is a silver penciled cochin. Anyone?

@HippyGardener I don't think she's calico because calicos are recognized by their majority white feathers with some brown, kind of like a overly white mille fleur. Though I couldn't give any feedback on which color she IS, she is quite a unique color, anyone else have a guess? Sorry I couldn't help with that. She is GORGEOUS though whatever color she officially is!

These are my bantam Cochins. I think number 1 is a Mille Fluer bantam,and I don't know what number 2 is.

That makes sense. I didn't really think she was because if I think about a calico cat they are deft mostly white. Oh well, I love her coloring anyway.
