Hello. I'm curious about my little blue Cochin girl if she's meeting the standard or not. She's about 3 months old. Also, didn't like her picture being taken, quite squirmy, so I hope I got enough of her for you to help me.

Need to see pics of her standing naturally. How they are judged has alot to do with how the carry themselves, how the feathers flow and lay, etc. Have you read the SOP?

Unfortunately no. I ordered the book, but I don't have it yet.


I'll see if I can take pictures of her (and my d'Uccle, posted in a separate thread) standing. They move around a lot when not being held, so it might take awhile.

and i understand, I'm sometimes amazed that i get any pics that aren't just a blur!
Been trying to get a pic of this little one because i think it's going to be frizzled, but she will not hold still! They all turn out like this

Not sure about showing, but I would like to breed as close to the standard as I can and have birds of good body shape as their breed standard intends them to be. It's simply a project I want to do with all my birds.

And yes, that's about right with chickens. All blurry.
