Bantam Delaware? Is there such a thing?

Quote:
That is about right.. I see him on eggbid and he starts them a 15.00 not inc shipping.
Yes $25/doz inc shipping is reasonable for that quality of birds.
I know that him and his wife are very involved in poultry. Him being a poultry judge and a breeder and his wife as the APA secretary and writing some articles for the poultry press and I think both are involved in county fair..

speckledhen-thank you for your assessment of him. That is very helpful to know. And thank you all for your comments about him. I have emailed Mr. Horstman to see what possibilities there might be for getting some hens, but I'm still trying to convince my DH that we should keep him and try to breed. He's awfully partial to our bantam cochins. I also have some self blues OEGBs that I want to breed and DH keeps insisting on JUST COCHINS. He doesn't want to build another coop, so I've got to make a plan to divide up the space we have so I can have more than one or two different breeds.

You are all such a wealth of information. I've got a LOT to learn if I start trying to breed and sell so I have to take it all one step at a time.

Welp hatchery carries delaware bantams

They do? Wow, that's good. Wonder how they measure up? If anyone has some, would love to see those.

Just checked on those. They are sold out for the year on banty Dels, no picture at all of one on the site that I could find.

I thought I had posted somewhere on BYC which hatchery my TSC got the chicks from. I haven't found it yet, but I'm searching as I have time. I'll post it here when I find it. Or . . . I'll call them when they are open and ask.
