I need peoples opinions ........do you perfurr bantam or standard......I am thinking of just have all bantam......is there laying rate high like laying hens.......and i want your oppinions the good and bads or have bantams and standard......???

Bantam breeds are adorable. They can fly, usually, so consider that when building their secure run (if that's how you keep 'em). Their eggs are smaller, so you need more of 'em to make a good-sized entre, or to bake with 'em. (But it's totally doable.)

Although they can fly, being smaller, they will be easy targets for aerial attacks by a greater variety of prey birds.

You can fit more bantam breeds into a coop than you can standard breeds.

I have mostly large fowl standard breeds, but also have some bantam breeds in my flock. Love 'em both. The "midget chickens" just have more of a built-in "adorable" factor.
