Barred Rock purring?

I’ve had EE for a few months now, and I hardly hear them, they are so quiet. They are 13 weeks now. I just brought home some 4.5 month barred rock pullets which are so soft. Since bringing them home, they’ve been purring nonstop. Then when the sun was going down, one was making some noise. Not sure if they are missing their original flock or they are just scared?

They do it when they are comfortable and happy. I love it when they do that when I hold them.

Is one much older bc of the waddle size? Or is it just maturing quicker?
