Barred Rocks!!

Hi I'm new to chickens and I got two barred rocks two nights ago that I was told were 4 months old hatchmates. I don't think they look the same age, could it be that they developed differently? Or perhaps one is younger? Please help

Also, one has a tiny pink comb and no waddles and is a lot smaller than the other. The bigger one has the bigger bright red comb and adult looking waddles.

haha ooooooh autocorrect! *wattles. Not waddles. Sheeeesh
They could be hatch mates from different parents. One could be male. Or they could be sisters that are going through puberty at different times. :). This is where the chicken rule applies: there is no "normal." As long as they are healthy, it won't make much difference to your flock.

thanks a bunch for your input! I think you're right, they seem healthy thus far. One of them had even snacked out of my hand this morning! Well that made my day :)

the jury is still out on what exactly I have there-most likely a barnyard pullet. But I had dreams of one just like brave :-(

It's funny, they actually look like mine:

my white rock is weeks ahead of everyone else in wattle/comb development, and my BR is still small and a little behind.
