Bathing suit season

For me it's either half-way down to the knees or nothing at all. Either way I don't have to worry about wedgies or my bikini line. I used to be pretty freaking skinny, now I am considerably over weight. The weight thing really isn't a permanent trait.

I really like the triathlete style suits. I thought I should provide some links to these styles and a book I recommendSlow Fat Triathlete: Live Your Athletic Dreams in the Body You Have Now The author is a funny lady and she has great advice.

Some of the suits are way expensive, but sometimes you can find last years (or the year before) on clearance. Unfortunately most of these are tiny, but you can get lucky.

Low rise! Who wants to spend the whole freakin' day having to suck in their gut so it doesn't hang out over the top of those things? And who thinks they are attractive?

I'm 5'4" and 133 lbs, but still have thunder thighs. We're all just human. It would be so boring if we all looked alike.

I hope they are attractive... I have such a short torso and long legs, if I dont wear low rise jeans I look like I have my pants up under my armpits!

'Cause we don't look like the woman in magazines, and we know that men are visually-oriented creatures.

My opinion, most of the women in the magazines need to eat something they look like they havent ate in a month.

I don't have MUCH of an issue with ME (I am fat though) but with the people that design clothes for women of substance. They think we are 9 feet tall and for some reason have an obsession with cabbage roses.

Luna, I just got one of those, and danged if the skirt doesn't make my thighs look even wider than they are.

With all that working out you do - that's muscle! Those would be good thighs !!

If I don't like how it looks, back it goes!

I went with the Eddie Bauer "Athena tankini with skirt bottom in black. I probably should have though.

Debi, you gotta problem with cabbage roses?

I call that style of fabric "couch camaflage". In my opinion, if you're as large as a sofa, you really don't need to be dressed like one. I'm half afraid someone will sit on me and say, "my, isn't this a squishy soft sofa".

Ladies, we do truly appreciate the amount of time and thought you put into these suits.

If we only took half that time, the beach would look a whole lot better.
