Just a few pictures of my jubilee orps. They range in ages 3 1/2 - 4 1/2 months. They have many molts to go through before they really bloom and get the proper feather colors, they say by about 18 mths is full maturity. In fact the roos have a ton of white that has already molting out But they already have fluffy butts

Somehow I missed the links for the recycling places before.

I know where the Reuse store is here, but haven't been there since they moved it from when we stayed out here with my daughter for a while. I don't know what else Modesto has.

I do know there's a great one in Oakland. It was moved from off the old base in Alameda and now it's on San Leandro next to the Salvation Army. Bill and I loved goin gthere and finding cool things for the house. We didn't get the chance to do it for the chickens.

Not being able to get my van fixed is driving me crazy.

Folks, the Chickenstock is now only 17 days away, now is the time to start contacting your chicken friends to remind them about this year's event.

The last time I checked there were only 25 adults and 3 kids attending... remember our picnic site can hold 130 attendees!

I'm STILL waiting on first eggs from LOTS of this year's pullets... they just keep on eating but aren't giving anything...

We are about to give up the Blehm Silvers from MARCH that STILL aren't laying! Jeepers. The Wheatons from that batch started at 19 weeks, the Chantecler at 24, and the two silvers I got (Judy has one now) are 30 weeks and NADA. GRRRR. Sterile? And flighty, scaredy-cat, tiny goofs of birds, too!
