She has a hard time eating and is under weight, other than that, she’s a sassy britches, and does her own thing! I’ll get a picture of her beak, soon!

You too may want to think about making a wet feed for her.

When handling a chicken to deliver health care, wrap them snugly in a bath towel to confine the wings and even the feet. When working on the head, it helps to find something to cover the eyes. Chickens go very quiet and calm when their eyes are covered. Then have a treat to reward them after their ordeal is over.

My pullets beak does not close all of the way and the gap between the beak seems to be getting bigger as she grows. Should I be worried?!

Hmm that looks similar to one of my EEs. This is what her mouth looks like mostly closed.

When she was a week old I noticed that she was developing a cross beak, but it never fully crossed over and instead the upper part ended up growing twisted at an angle. Bottom appears straight. She eats and drinks fine - eating both fermented feed and dry crumble, and drinking from a nipple waterer. Using a regular emery board I filed down her beak last week, both top and bottom, as the bottom was starting to get chips at the tip, and the top was starting to overgrow. I don't file off a lot, it's just to try and get the top and bottom to meet as evenly as possible on the edges that do touch.

it does look similar. yours sort of seems a little cross beak. When you look at mine head on there is no crossing at all but that gives me hope that she won't have trouble when she gets older. Did her gap slowly get bigger or did it stay about the same?

The gap did get bigger over time, yes, and may continue to do so as she continues growing, but it seems to be slowly starting to stabilize itself. Viewed head on, the tip is misaligned and just barely crossed over. The right side of her beak can almost fully close, so when she's drinking for example, she tilts her head so that the left side (that can't fully close) is facing up, so the water isn't just spilling out of her mouth. As expected she's a messy eater since food can sometimes fall out the left side, but I see her picking up grit, treats, and grass and eating it with relatively little issue.

Ill have to get a head on photo to see if mine is slightly crossed
