She isn't that old so how do you guys think she'll turn out after a molt??

From all the info. out there that I have read, the mille fleur d'uccle is a rather hard breed to perfect but I'm hoping to develop a really good line and when I do I will let yall know. I have babies from several different sources that I'm working with, its just hard to find really good show quality ones from my own experience, these I hatched in April and they are definitely pet quality only (they're still attractive and very friendly although the male I want to keep is turning out to be a real pain in the butt), and d'uccle roosters should never have waddles! I hate seeing people on Ebay selling "SQ mille fleur d'uccle" and they have a picture of a male with waddles. I even sent the person an email but they never responded back I guess they didnt want to hear my advice.

you need to check the standard, wattles are discouraged but not a DQ, small wattles are allowed.

this is a good colored roo, he is showable and would do well. (the ladies like his foot feathers)

the standard isn't online, but the library should have one or do you know someone who shows, the local poultry superintendent should also have one. (4h, FFA, etc....) also as a roo gets older the wattles have a tendency to get a little larger

You can try this link, I have the American Standard of Perfection book and this website says basically the same thing. And if you look at pictures of true show quality d'uccles, they have a beard "hence the name bearded" and no waddles.

This image is a little grainy but at least it shows you what one without waddles would look like.

ETA: I was just thinking, if it has waddles its a booted, if it doesnt, its a bearded d'uccle, thats my take.
