Belly button on 5 day old chick

I saw a small crusty scab below the vent. I thought it was dried poop so I picked it off and it drained quite a bit of clear fluid. Now after referring to this site I think it was the belly button. Do you think I did any damage to the chick. Will it make it dehydrated?

I don't think it would make her dehydrated. Just keep an eye on her to make sure she is eating/drinking well.

Also watch the place where you took off the scab to make sure it's not oozing, inflamed or showing signs of infection.
