I am very glad to see activity in this thread! I have been online-shopping for bento boxes since they do not seem to be available in the Cincinnati/Dayton, Ohio area. There is a local source for the Laptop Lunches product, but I really prefer the look of all of those wonderful Japanese boxes!

In better financial times, I would have already ordered one for myself and for my daughter but right now I am being very careful with the little money that I have! I would love to hear more about your favorite or least favorite box brands and types.

Yes, the Laptop Lunch boxes look like they could hold a very satisfying quantity of food!

In my case, I could stand to be a little less satisfied Well, more than a little actually... about fifty lbs. less satisfied!

It is likely that I will go that route since I can get them locally. I think (correct me if I am wrong) that the components are microwave friendly and can be washed in a dishwasher, which would be nice at times.

OMG I cant believe I missed this craze... my kids have to take lunch to school daily... there is no lunch program at thier school. so I am ALWAYS looking for special stuff to do for thier lunches.... I LOVE this bento box thing and cant wait to try some of the things that I am reading on here!

I didn't take pictures, but Ian took cheeseburgers with fried onions and mushrooms, french fries, an apple, water and some pretzel sticks last night. Yum
