Bento Box Fever!

Oh well didn't get that bento. Should have would have been cheaper, lo.

Convince the hubby to buy me 3 bentos, 1 Pink Panther and 2 more Snoopy's. $85. I gotta find someone in the states that has cute bentos. Shipping costs from Hong Kong is killing me!!

okay wow, i just sat here and read all 59 pages of this thread, it took a long time! im at home sick with no appetite at all but all those ideas looked amazing. i only wish my mom was into this when i was a youngster and brought lunches to school.

Isn't it cool? After reading this thread I bought a few bento boxes and have made some nice meals. It's been fun.

I wish my mom had too.

I am going to get this for my 11 year old.
she has n issue big time about foods touching, been like this since she was tiny.
There is a technical term for it but I cant think of it off hand.
no food can touch, switching from meal to desert has to be on a new plate.
pasta and sauce have to be in seperate bowls, Pizza is a night mare. its an inconvinience for me but after 11 years its second nature.
I think this system might just get her to eat lunch better.
She being diabetic it isnt good for her to skip lunch because the beans touched something else, or they put the sandwich too close to the chips and pickles.
The school Diatician has called me many times about this. I try to tell her not to let the food touch. It got so bad I have had to bring her home for lunches.
This may be her salvation honestly.

I am so jealous - was waiting to get my income tax refund so I could buy it. I did find parts of it on another site but not the complete set. I didn't find the carrying bag anywhere and I think it is the best part.

Here is a link to the food containers. Look around on their site and you will find the small thermal bag and the chopsticks.

These are so inspiring. I'm debating on getting 2 bentos to try with my 2 boys. They are such picky eaters sometimes though. I still try to give them new things over and over in the hopes they might decide to like it. I have my oldest sitting here looking through pictures with me. Love it all. I might have that excuse to buy some quail after all!!

Got to make room in my cupboards for my new bentos.

I thought I would offer the ones that I am looking to sell to my Bento Buddies at half price plus postage. These are nothing fancy. Check out the Natural ones at Ichiban Kan. http://www.ichibankanusa.com/natural_lunch.asp

I have the 2 tier, oval 2 tier, the snap closed and fork, spoon,& chopstick set in both green and beige with 4 belts. Cost me around $14 so I thought I would sell them for $7 plus whatever postage will cost me to you. Postal money order or my paypal account.

I think they have been used once each. I'm not working, so not packing my lunch and they just don't hold enough food for the DH. I would rather offer them up to ya'll than on craigslist

I just happened upon this thread and thought it was so cool! I abhor bringing lunch to work, but with the prices of buying lunch outside, it's time to reconsider.
