Bento Box Fever!

Hey ya'll. I need some recipes for bento that would interest a (GASP!) teenager! My neice has been having some medical issues because she doesn't eat enough (she is doing much better) I have bought her a cute bento ( http://cgi.ebay.com/PUNK-SKULL-AND-...14&_trkparms=72:1205|66:4|65:12|39:1|240:1318 she is into all that goth&punk stuff)

So what do you have that is quick and easy for her mom to make to put in her bento?

have you ever visited www.kraftfoods.com, they always have interesting lunch box ideas like sandwich rolls or fruit kebobs. My son has similar issues so Im always trying to find stuff he will eat.

Cyote what a cool box!! One thing that I really like to make is sauteed cheese ravioli. You heat some olive oil in a pan and throw in the frozen pasta. Let it sizzle away for a bit, toss it and once it is cooked through I like to drizzle a bit more olive oil over it along with maybe some fresh basil and halved cherry tomatoes and parmesan cheese. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and its ready to go. My family likes this at room temp because it isnt swimming in sauce. I think all teens like pasta

After a longer hiatus than I had anticipated, here are some new bentos!!

This is my daughter's two tiered Hello Kitty box. In one tier is some pulled pork and krisps with a Hello Kitty container of ketchup for dipping. There is also a hard cooked egg and two teeny pickles on the other side of the divider. The other tier has a clementine, some out of season berries and an assortment of veggies for dipping.

BUT I can't justify spending that much money on 1 lunchbox. Anybody seen this bento anywhere else for much cheaper?

OMG, that set is AWESOME. I totally understand why you want it!

Just from Googling Matryoshka bento, it looks like the price might really be quite reasonable, considering all that you're getting. That eBay seller appears to have combined many pieces into one "package deal."

okay wow, i just sat here and read all 59 pages of this thread, it took a long time! im at home sick with no appetite at all but all those ideas looked amazing. i only wish my mom was into this when i was a youngster and brought lunches to school.
