I would start with rollers or homers, they're easy to come by and easy to raise. I've had pigeons most of my life, I've raised Jacs and tell you they are one of the more difficult breeds to raise.
You really need to have mating pens for them or use foster parents. The cock birds can be very aggressive. They are also usually expensive to buy. If you have your heart set on those two breeds, i would go with the OGOs if it were me. Good luck!
