Flock raiser Crumbles with 20% protein and nutritional yeast added. Your baby would also like eating bananas, blueberries and watermelon and sliced up lettuce as snacks always served with water. They grow so fast it is important to use the correct food and added niacin Your duckling is sure cute !!!!
Thanks.I added niacin its been 2 weeks.but he even not changed.whats the problem in your opinion?

Purina flock raiser crumbles has the correct amount of Niacin for ducklings.

What have you been feeding including treats and supplements? Do you know what's wrong with its head???

ETA: I expect to see feathers on a 10 week old duckling... only things I know of that cause that poor look would be parasites or nutrient deficiency... MORE than just niacin.

:fl

I see you are in Iran... so the feed I mentioned probably isn't available for you...

Your duck looks like it needs more protein... but I'm JUST guessing without knowing your answers yet.

I know there are different types of niacin... I don't know the dosages and they may have different amounts of efficacy.

i was going to ask you do you keep food down all the time for the duckling? I leave food out all day and night for mine..just a thought
hey were babies , i kept them inside house and their food and water bowl was always full.but now...they eat more.
So i give them foods in morning , afternoon and first of night.
But i guess its not enough cause they finish it soon and want moere

They are available but i guess have less quality.also i live in a city people dont keep meat birds.and they are so uniqe - just farmers can order and buy it -
Is there any easy way to give them full and well food ?

Hmm, Does the feed that is available to you have a nutrient label on it?

Peas and bugs are a good source of protein.

What is the food? And is the water deep enough to dip the head completely? How many ducklings are you raising?

When I bring the feed many times per day they always seem to think it was treat time and more interested then if I just made sure there was plenty to last throughout the day.

Even when I raised ducks, they got the same treatment as all other birds here, light out feed collected to avoid rodents, locked in to avoid predators.

@chickens really please share your knowledge regarding nutritional need so we can help get this duckling back on track, thank you. :fl
